MisV1448: longer superhump period?
Osaka Kyoiku U. team, Kyoto U. team and Tamas Tordai
have reported new observations. Thanks to Tordai's
observation, the earlier reported period appears be
excluded. The favored period is 0.19339(2) d,
quite unbelievably long for an SU UMa star.
It is still possible that this period determination
may have suffered from short observing windows
(only one cycle in the evening sky) and possible
period variation. Observations at different longitudes
are essential for determining the nature of
the very unusual object.
