Subject: 1RXS J040253.8+435553 outburst

I managed 2.5 hours of photometry on 1RXS J040253.8+435553 last night. Cond=
itions were poor with bright moonlight and lying snow, then clouded out.

This showed a smooth hump of amplitude ~0.4 mag , ave mag ~15.5C (see: http=
s://britastro.org/observations/observation.php?id=3D20201230_135723_c330db3=
0b1fe23c3). Not long enough to confirm/refute as a superhump, but the tenta=
tive period using CLEANest on Peranso ver 3 was ~0.089 d (~2.1 h).

Further observations encouraged.

The 2018 Jan. outburst also appears to be a superoutburst.
