Hi,
V433 Ara:
Last night I observed this reported active CV over a few hours. The
lightcurve hints at a low amplitude modulation. A narrow eclipse might
have popped up right at the end of the observing run. The brightness of
V433 Ara was 15.3CR. Further observations might be interesting.
Ha 0242-28:
was seen around 16.7CR a couple of nights ago. Last night it was back
at quiescense at unfitered magnitude 18.9CR.
VW Tuc was observed for the last 5 hours last night. The curve looks
quite peaky, but then it was faint around madnitude 18.3CR. VW Tuc is
usually much brighter.
Over the past months the (2dF survey discovered) CV 2qz j225647-2743
was monitored at regular occasions: it evolves around unfiltered
magnitude 16.5 and shows a prominent eclipse. Once I've got time to look
at the data, a precise orbital period will be extracted for it. The
system also shows lows and highs.
For tonight observations of GRB 060912B in different filters are
planned. Looking at survey results this might be an active system
(definitely variable) with a possible iR excess (embedded perhaps). The
coordinates are RA 18:05:00.005, DEC -19:51:42.37 J2000.
V433 Ara will be observed after that.
CBA Pretoria will be closed over the period 15-22 Sep 06.
