AQ CMi fading
The UGSU type dwarf nova AQ CMi is undergoing a bright outburst
and fading rapidly.
This outburst may not be a superoutburst, but a superoutburst.
However, this star kept the luminosity at around 15th mag after
it faded rapidly in 1996 outburst.
AQ CMi seems to undergo outbursts whose maximum was 14-15th at
around 1 years interval until around 1999. However, outbursts
have decreased in frequency (interval = ~2 years) and the maximum
luminosity got to fainter (see the following outburst list) recently.
While this star seemed to underwent successive 3 superoutbursts in
1996-1998, no definite superoutbursts have been after that (despite of
some doughtful superoutburst). This is interesting unless this trend
stems from a simple overlooking.
Past outbursts;
1996 Feb. 144 (Jochen Pietz) superoutburst
1997 Mar. 143 (Gary Poyner) superoutburst
1998 Oct. 146 (Rod Stubbings) probably superoutburst
