Hi Andrew and All,

 

Thanks for the confirmation of V854 Cen apparent decline onset.  I noticed it fainter on Monday but was awaiting the next clear night to confirm (and still waiting singing in the rain).  My understanding is if V854 Cen falls below 8.5 then it will most likely continue to a deep minimum.  Otherwise, it may stall between 8.0 and 8.5 then return to maximum.

Hi Andrew,

 

Thanks for the heads up. The timing of this decline is quite favourable as V0854 Cen will be observable for many months to come. Unlike the last decline in September 2018 when solar conjunction curtailed observations before it started to brighten again.
