On September 5 at 10:20 UT, I performed a confirmation using the
smart telescope Seestar S50. As a result, no significant brightness
variations were detected. This finding is in continuity with the
ongoing Seestar monitoring campaign in Japan as well as the AAVSO
reports from September 5. It may require further consideration as
to whether Iijima-san's report represented a genuine signal.
