On September 5 at 10:20 UT, I performed a confirmation using the smart telescope Seestar S50. As a result, no significant brightness variations were detected. This finding is in continuity with the ongoing Seestar monitoring campaign in Japan as well as the AAVSO reports from September 5. It may require further consideration as to whether Iijima-san's report represented a genuine signal. -- Kazuyoshi IMAMURA Anan Science Center (JAPAN) On 2025/09/05 8:27, Kojiguchi wrote:
T CrB: Possible onset of nova eruption
According to a report posted to the VSOLJ mailing list by Iijima-san in Asiago, Italy, T CrB was measured at about 7 mag as of 21:00 UT on September 4, suggesting that a nova eruption might have begun.
Further observations are strongly encouraged to confirm this report.
