TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37640 SUBJECT: GRB 240930B: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/09/30 17:28:37 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM <do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov> The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 17:18:02 UT on 30 Sep 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240930B (trigger 749409487.116994 / 240930721). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 313.7, Dec = 40.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 20h 54m, 40d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.8 degrees.
