TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36994 SUBJECT: GRB 240801A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/08/01 03:28:41 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 03:18:09 UT on 1 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240801A (trigger 744175094.739542 / 240801138).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 25.4, Dec = 25.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 01h 41m, 25d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.5 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 99.0 degrees.
