TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 45454 SUBJECT: The EP-WXT trigger 01709291839 is likely the known LMXB 4U 1745-203 DATE: 26/08/27 14:03:57 GMT FROM: EP Team at NAOC/CAS <ep_ta@bao.ac.cn> Z. X. Li (IHEP), R. Shi, Y. L. Hua (PMO，CAS) and Z. X. Ling (NAOC) on behalf of the Einstein Probe (EP) team: The EP-WXT trigger 01709291839 occurred at 2026-08-27 08:32:56. The follow-up FXT observations yield a triggered position at R.A. = 267.2150 deg, Dec = -20.3583 deg (J2000) with a 20 arcsec radius uncertainty. This event is likely a detection of 4U 1745-203 (identical to SAX J1748.9-2021; ATel #18011). The estimated flux from the observation is approximately 1.585e-10 erg/s/cm^2 in 0.5-10.0 keV. Launched on January 9, 2024, EP is a space X-ray observatory to monitor the soft X-ray sky with X-ray follow-up capability (Yuan et al. 2022, Handbook of X-ray and Gamma-ray Astrophysics).
