[vsnet-alert 8519] V589 Her Outburst

Dear colleagues,

M. Simonsen reported his detection of an outburst (14.5 mag, July
2.234(UT)) of V589 Her (cvnet-outburst).  T. Vanmunster had claimed
that he detected superhumps with a period of 0.0947(5) d during
the long outburst in 2002 April, but the SU UMa nature of this star
has not yet been confirmed.  Observations are encouraged with the
second priority, next to V4641 Sgr and ASAS 160048-4846.2.
