[vsnet-alert 8526] 2dF J021927-3045, yet another ugsu star

Hi,

with the outburst ongoing for at least 48 hours, 2dF (QZ) J021927-3045 was observed over more than two hours continuously at CBA Pretoria using 15sec cycles.

Differential (unfiltered) photometry on the images clearly shows a smooth modulation with a typical ugsu amplitude of 0.25 magnitude. The s/hump period is estimated to be around 0.085d (+/- 0.01d). The mean magnitude is 12.0CR, conveniently bright.

Further observations are intended.

This is a very suitable target for Southern CBA observers, following the RXS 1730-05 run. It will give a much nicer light curve though.. (sorry Joe).
There is a convenient comparison star @ 021905.5-304335, some 4' WNW of V. It's 12.5R (13.1V).

The mean cycle length seems to be about 55 days.
