Dear colleagues,

NSV 24607 AS 325 (= NSV 24607 = CD -26 13521 = CPD -26 6567 = He 3-1728; 18h
50m 03.57s -26º 24' 15.4" (2000.0) is fading since a couple of weeks ago,
before predicted. It seems that the first eclipse that we will be able to
observe spectroscopically will be different in shape to the previous ones.
See ASAS lightcurve
http://www.astrouw.edu.pl/cgi-asas/asas_lc/185004-2624.3
and http://www.konkoly.hu/cgi-bin/IBVS?5608 for more info.

Multi-wavelentgh observations will be important.
This is likely a symbiotic system comprising a K giant and a Be star.

Meanwhile the eclisping binary NSV 19448 = HD 109962 = GSC 8232 1689 at 12h
39m 07.89s -45º 33' 44.2" (2000.0)
has brigthened and is possibly showing us a line-of-sight mira at maximum.
Observations at this stage could reveal the presence of a 12th mag. red
mira. Color data is strongly needed.

Best wishes,
Sebastian.
