[vsnet-alert 8858] Mu Cen brighter than ever in the last 2 decades

Interesting news.
After starting the season rather bright at V= 3.3, mu Centauri finally 
decided to do something huge and it is at V= 3.1 tonight (February 12.3). 
AAVSO data show it has never been this bright since observations started to 
be collected back in 1984.
Can someone tell us something about previous bright outbursts of mu 
Centauri?
