Dear Colleagues,

According to Rod Stubbings's report, a possible candidate
for UGWZ stars ASAS 1600-48 is in outburst for the first time
since 2005 June.

> ASAS1600-48 060520.486 142 Stu.RASNZ outburst!!!

Judging from the report, Rod caught a rising of outburst
or a normal outburst because the maximum reaches 12.6 in V.

High speed photometry was carried out by Berto Monard
during the 2005 superoutburst, during which the object
showed double-peaked humps near the bright maximum for a
few days. (Imada & Monard 2006, PASJ 58, L19)

In order to clarify the nature of ASAS 1600-48, high speed photometry
is encouraged even if the present outburst is a normal.

the precise coordinate of ASAS 1600-48 is
RA:16:00:47.43 Dec:-48:46:07.6

Best Regards,
Akira Imada
