This is very unusual. Such a persistent active state in SU UMa
stars is very rare. It reminds me of SU UMa in 1992 (cf. A&A 384, 206,
or astro-ph/0112532). It would be worth studying the possible
presence of superhumps during the "constant active state".
It would be worth noting that WX Hyi has one of the shortest
(super)cycle lengths other than ER UMa stars. It might be that some
sort of standstill-like state can be maintained in such a high-Mdot
object.
