Hi,

since a couple of nights already V663 Ara is visible around magnitude 16. At
quiescense this probable DN is well beyound mag 20. A normal outburst would
have started to fade by now.

BD Pav , presumably a ugSS type DN, is having a bright and long outburst
since several nights, as reported by R Stubbings on 29/8 and possibly
earlier.
Timeseries photometry under partly cloudy conditions done last night at CBA
Pretoria show quite an interesting lightcurve. In addition to the 'narrow'
eclipses there seems to be some modulation present. The amplitude is less
than 0.1 mag. I intend further observing study on this one. Possibly it is
not type ugSS after all...

nfortunately, clouds will prevent observations here tonight.
