[vsnet-alert 9454] Nova Vul 2007: spectrum by Fujii-san, premaximum

   Fujii-san has reported the following spectrum of Nova Vul 2007.

   The Balmer lines showed prominent P Cyg profiles.  The FWHM of
Halpha was 1900 km/s.  He I lines (4472, 4713, 4922, 5015, 5876,
6678, 7065) were also seen in emission with P Cyg absorption
components.  These features indicate that the nova was observed
still in its premaximum state.  The continuum suggests that the nova
has a low reddening (perhaps a relatively nearby object).
