[vsnet-alert 9433] KW And outburst

Antipin, K. Sokolovsky (SAI MSU) report: 

The poorly studied cataclysmic variable KW And is in outburst.  Unfiltered 
CCD observations at Ka-Dar observatory (http://www.kadar.ru/observ/) with 
0.35-m telescope during 2007 July 27.937-28.000 UT show it flickering 
between 15.8-15.5 magnitude, probably rising towards the end of 1.5-hour 
run.  Though several outbursts of KW And to 15.0-14.8m were observed before 
(March 1996, Sep. 1997, March and Oct. 2000), the orbital period of the 
system and exact sub-class (UGSU or UGSS) remain unknown.  Follow-up 
observations are encouraged.
