I would like to report the discovery of a possible supernova:

Position:  RA.:  17:31:31.76  Dec.: +69:18:40.1  J2000
Host galaxy:  anonymous galaxy near UGC10911
Offset from center: 5.17' W 1.57' S from UGC10911
Observation date : 2007-09-22 22 :23 :00 UT
Mag.:   ~ 17.0 CR 
Observation method:   telescopic CCD Composite of  4 unfiltered images a 30 sec lim. mag ~18.5
Instrumentation:        CCD Photos with Meade DSI-Pro II  Meade 10'' ARC at F6.3
Observation site:       Country Germany
City:    Schweinfurt

POSS II image shows nothing at this position.
Own reference image from 2006-09-23 limiting mag ~18.5 CR taken with Meade 
DSI-Pro II 8'' VC200L SC unfiltered
shows also nothing at this position.
There were no known minor planets at this position/time
No known variables at this position in VSX/GCVS catalogue

Confirmation image from 2007-09-23  19:45:00 UT:
Object did not move and is clearly visible.
