Greg Bolt has kindly sent us Aug. 6 observation of V893 Sco.
In addition to eclipses, there were humps at phases unlikely
associate with orbital humps. Such displaced humps may be related
to some kind of superhumps. A similar phenomenon was observed
during the 2007 March outburst (cf. [vsnet-alert 9242],
[vsnet-alert 9255] suggested that this outburst may have been
a "failed superoutburst").

Further observations are needed to see whether the current
is a some kind of failed superoutburst or even a precursor to
a superoutburst.
