[vsnet-alert 10235] SDSS J162718.39+120435.0: SU UMa-type dwarf nova in the period gap

   According to Tom Krajci (via cvnet), SDSS J162718.39+120435.0
is an SU UMa-type dwarf nova with a long superhump period
(in the period gap!).

   Such an object is very rare, with only a few examples.
The best known object NY Ser may be analogous, particularly
in terms of a low outburst amplitude.   Further monitoring for
normal outbursts would be desired since NY Ser is known to show
frequent normal outbursts.  Normal outbursts in MN Dra are less
frequent.

Subject: [cvnet-outburst] SDSS J162718.39+120435.0 superhumps detected!

Time-series photometry last night shows this star is superhumping.  
Amplitude is 0.2 magnitudes, and a crude period analysis gives 0.109 
days, or 2.61 hours.
