I think I get the gist of what bimodality can mean, however as the CSS team state it within the framework of their nova assumption, and the Kato san states it within the context of a UGWZ with inclined disc, I don't think "bimodality" meant what the CSS team think it did.

Maybe they're keen to find a nova, people often are?  They probably will, one day.

It all depends on what the spectrum they've got actually does look like, I suppose.
