Couldn't you just kinda privately tell the guy that's pretty much standard?  Instead of potentially causing embarrassment?  Your own signed vsnet-recents on this thing say lower decimals fifteenth mags visual is pretty normal and has been for a long time, mostly logged from innumerable obs from Gary P.  This somewhat to very slow nova's sat around the new quiescence some while.

And folk make out I'm rude.  I dunno.

Just in case :- < 18.0 from the catalogues is pre-outburst quiescence.
