SDSS J150240.98+333423.9 superhump period

   As reported in vsnet-alert 11332, 11333, Gianluca Masi kindly reported
observations.  Combined with observations by Michael Richmond
(announced via cvnet, available at
http://spiff.rit.edu/richmond/ritobs/jul09_2009/jul09_2009.html),
we determined the superhump period as 0.060296(7) d.
This period is 2.4% longer than the orbital period.
Further continued observations of this deeply eclipsing SU UMa-type
dwarf nova is highly encouraged.  SU UMa-type dwarf novae having short
orbital periods are expected to show positive period derivatives
(cf. Kato et al. arXiv 0905.1757).  SDSS J150240.98+333423.9 is one of
the shortest-Porb eclipsing objects other than WZ Sge-type dwarf novae.
Detailed observations during the current superoutburst might provide
a clue in understanding the origin of this kind of period evolution
(also see a discussion in arXiv 0905.1757).
