   The object seems to be identified with

2MASS 002641.840 +832409.32 (2000.0) 16.464 15.801 15.220 

   (assuming a relatively large proper motion)

   But, this object is faint even in 2MASS, and should be much fainter
in the visual wavelengths.  I thoerefore suspect that the outburst
is a kind of a "superflare".  Further detailed observations might be
useful.
