I must be missing something; I looked through arXiv:1111.4286 and saw no 
reference to V1454 Cyg.  However, Bruce Sumner strongly suggested a counterpart 
in 2000, based on my images:
ftp://ftp.aavso.org/public/calib/sumner/v1454cyg.seq
that is the likely CV.  The coordinates are slightly different than those in 
VSX.  As you say, however, getting accurate astrometry this time around will 
certainly settle the issue.
