Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of tonight’s 2017, Feb 12/13 unfiltered
CCD photometry session of MASTER OT J165153.86+702525.7. Observations were
made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m /f10.0 telescope and
STT-3200ME CCD camera, under a clear sky with strong moonlight. The
resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an
amplitude of 0.22 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, PDM and
Lomb-Scargle methods (Peranso), yields a combined preliminary superhump
period of 0.0728 +/- 0.0010d, hence establishing this object as a new SU
UMa-type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 16.0 (unfiltered).

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Best regards
Tonny
