Dear colleagues,

I have now also concluded the analysis of my 2017, Jun 23/24 unfiltered CCD photometry session of TCP J20100517+1303006. Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD camera. Sky conditions were excellent all night long. The resulting light curve very cleary shows the presence of early superhumps (double-wave modulations) with an amplitude of 0.18 mag. The object was at mag 14.4 unfiltered on June 23rd. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined early superhump period of 0.0826 +/- 0.0007d, which is an unusual long period for a WZ Sge type star.

Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis, and to AAVSO.

I furthermore discovered two new variable stars in the CCD field of TCP J20100517+1303006:

- VMTJ201009+130646 = UCAC4 516:125726, RA = 20h10m09s, Dec = +13°06’46” (J2000.0). There is no known variable at this location in AAVSO VSX. This new variable is an EW eclipsing variable with a period of 0.2192 +/- 0.0011d (based on 2 nights of observations). Amplitude is 0.34 mag. The star was at average mag 15.6 unfiltered.

- VMTJ201005+130019 = UCAC4 516:125697, RA = 20h10m05s, Dec = +13°00’19” (J2000.0). There is no known variable at this location in AAVSO VSX. This new variable is of unknown type. It shows irregular variations of up to 0.07 mag in less than 20 min, but also longer periods with nearly no activity. The star was at average mag 14.7 unfiltered.

The sky is overcast tognight at CBA Belgium Observatory, so I would very much appreciate if someone can continue observing TCP J20100517+1303006.

Best regards
Tonny
