Looking at the recent ASAS-SN images at the position of V906 Oph, the possible event reported in http://ooruri.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/mailarchive/vsnet-alert/21161 is due to a persistent artifact (bleeding column from a very bright star few degrees away). K. Stanek
