Dear colleagues,

I have just concluded the analysis of my 2018, Mar 30/31 unfiltered CCD photometry session of CSS 111124:072144+663838 (aka CRTS J072144.4+663838). Observations were made at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and ST-10XME CCD camera, under a clear sky with strong moonlight. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.25 mag. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0819 +/- 0.0010d, hence establishing this object as a new SU UMa type dwarf nova. The object was at mag 15.88 (CV) on Mar 30th.

Observations will be sent to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.

Note that CBA Belgium Observatory was out of service over the past 2 weeks, due to a hardware problem with the SBIG CCD camera. We are now resuming operations with a (temporary) replacement SBIG ST10XME. CBA Extremadura Observatory is in its final setup stages, and we expect to start nightly test sessions by end of next week.

Best regards
Tonny
