Hi Elizabeth and Matthew

Much to my relief I tonight find that V854 Cen has, after a temporary
standstill, now further declined in brightness:

CENV854 20120528.345 81 WPX
CENV854 20120529.379 81 WPX
CENV854 20120604.353 90 WPX Full Moon
CENV854 20120604.392 90 WPX Full Moon

Tks and regards

    Good afternoon Elizabeth and Matthew,

My understanding is that V854 Cen rarely falls below mag 8.0 when not
experiencing the onset of a decline. Looks like we will have a few more
clear nights ahead here in Sydney so we should know for sure in the next day
or two.

    Tks and regards

      Hi Peter,

Many thanks for observing and letting us know about V854 Cen! Alan
Plummer also reported it somewhat fainter, at 7.7 a couple of nights ago. It
may be starting down. I contacted the PI to ask him how quickly he needs to
make a decision about his observations, but if you could continue to observe
V854 Cen, it would be great.

      Thanks again, and best wishes,

      Elizabeth
