[vsnet-alert 10430] OT_J040659.8+005244: superhump period

Dear colleagues,

 We have received Aug. 9 and 10 data of OT_J040659.8+005244 (new DN in Tau)
from Okayama University of Science Team. Kyoto team (observer: Ohshima-san)
and I also succeeded in observing the object on Aug. 9 and 10.
The data show superhumps with an amplitude of 0.2 mag.

We performed a PDM period analysis for the combined data (Aug. 8-10).
The best estimated superhump period is 0.0799(2) d, though aliases
are not completely excluded. The phase-averaged superhump profile
shows a sign of a secondary hump.

Further observations are strongly encouraged.
