Stanislav Korotkiy (Ka-Dar obs., Moscow, Russia) confirmed an apparent
nova in Sagittarius (mag approximately 8.4) at coordinates
R.A.=18h22m14s, Decl.=-28d02'38" (equinox 2000.0) with accuracy +/- 2'
(scale = 112"/pix) on APOD 2008 November 29 ( http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap081129.html ).
Yuri Beletsky (ESO, Chile) toke this photo with DSLR camera Canon EOS 400D
and Sigma 20/1.8 lens (stopped down to 2.8) on Nov. 28.03 UT (exp=120sec, ISO=800).
 Lim mag = 9.5.
