It's amazing that this new variable is located just _under_ the
beautiful christmas-tree-shaped asterism! Look at the 500"x500"
color-combined (BRIR) DSS image:

The position of variable (at the bottom) is marked with two white dashes.
There are no previous outbursts recorded neither in Palomar/NEAT data
taken on 25 different nights between Sep. 1997 - July 2006, nor in 16
DSS plates from 14 different dates between 1952 and 1995.
