It might be interesting to note that the new variable (blue itself)
has a common proper motion red companion 1.0' due South whose J-K
color is compatible with M3V dwarf:

Variable blue object = USNO-B1.0 1038-0586809:
21 09 50.427 +13 48 39.95 pmRA=58+/-7 pmDE=-4+/-4 B1=17.72 R1=N/A
B2=18.14 R2=18.82 I=18.85

The variable was also detected by GALEX on 2007-07-15 on two exposures:
GALEX J210950.4+134839 FUV=20.54-20.69, NUV=19.24-19.30

Red CPM companion = USNO-B1.0 1037-0587899 = 2MASS 21095155+1347427:
21 09 51.558 +13 47 43.13 pmRA=52+/-2 pmDE=-24+/-5 B1=17.58 R1=15.63
B2=17.73 R2=15.90 I=15.23
J=14.330+/-0.029 H=13.641+/-0.032 K=13.490+/-0.042

There are 4 more DSS plates not mentioned by Stas, but the variable is
at minimum on them as well:

1983-11-04 ~18mag (DSS)
1990-07-28 ~18mag (DSS)
1991-08-14 ~18mag (DSS)
1995-09-13 ~18mag (DSS)
