[vsnet-alert 17287] Re-submission opf V745 Sco data

Hi,

 

I have re-analysed the V745 Sco data based on criticism on the AAVSO forum.
I have contacted Seiichiro Kiyota about his measurements of this star and
used his comp star. We are still about 0.2 mag different. His measurements
are 0.2 mag brighter than mine.

 

This is probably due to the use of different filters (although he used
remote telescopes equipped with Astrodon filters as I do) and  CCD
detectors. I have had similar issues with V band magnitudes as compared to
data from Arto Oksanen using a scope 20m away from mine on the same star (if
I remember well on T Pyx). We had about 0.2 mag difference in V band between
our measurements using the same comp stars.

 

Anyway if someone has used my data, please download the new ones from the
AAVSO database.
