ASASSN-15oq: polar in bright state?

Josch Hambsch has reported observations on three nights.
The object has shown large-amplitude (up to 0.6 mag)
variations without general fading like a dwarf nova-type
outburst. There is a period of 0.05869(4) d.
The orbital profile apparently has double maxima.
Given that CRTS apparently recorded a long duration
bright state in from 2005 July to 2006 January
and brightening in 2012 December, the object appears
to be a polar rather than a dwarf nova.
The accretion rate between bright state may have been
too low to produce emission lines.
Spectroscopy during this bright state may be helpful
in identifying the nature.
