ASASSN-15po: emerging superhumps?
Colin Littlefield has reported new observations.
The data now show more singly peaked humps.
We may be observing the transition phase to
ordinary superhumps. Continued observations
are very strongly requested.
The object is currently at 15.1 mag.
If this magnitude represents the point of
the appearance of ordinary superhumps,
we can estimate a distance of 800pc assuming
the M_V of appearance of ordinary superhumps
to be +5.5 (arXiv/1507.07659).
This value may partly explain the low X-ray flux
as reported in ATel 8056.
