Observations of PNV J11042370-4959170 over two nights, done at CBA KKO,
hint at a probable ugwz type star that is now evolving through the outburst
transition stage.
There is no optical counterpart down to 20.5mag in DSS-red, no counterpart
in 2mass and galex.
The observed magnitude on March 30.8 was 14.8CR, the outburst amplitude
therefore >6 mags.
No clear periodic modulation is visible in the light curves of 30 and 31
March.
KKO derived astrometry vs UCAC2 frame: 11 04 23.73 -49 59 17.3, with
estimated uncertainties (at 1 standard deviation level) of 0.02 in RA, 0.1
in Decl.
This position agrees with the published coordinates within 2 standard
deviations.
Further observations are planned.
