Dear colleagues,
I have just concluded the analysis of my 2017, Mar 29/30 unfiltered CCD
photometry session of SDSS J131432.10+444138.7. Observations were made at
CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.40-m /f10.0 telescope and STT-3200ME CCD
camera, under a sky with broken clouds. The resulting light curve clearly
shows the presence of superhumps with an amplitude of 0.28 mag. A period
analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso), yields a
combined preliminary superhump period of 0.0673 +/- 0.0008d, hence
establishing this object as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. The object was at
mag 15.55 (unfiltered).
I plan to obtain more intensive coverage of this object as part of tonight's
observation cycle.
Observations will be sent to CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Best regards
Tonny
