CY CrB: superhump period and super-QPOs
Kiyota-san has reported new observations.
Combined with the AAVSO data (Vanmunster and MMA),
the current superhump period is 0.06733(9) d.
The superhumps started to develop on Aug. 20
and part of these observations probably recorded
stage A superhumps.
Another noticeable feature is the presence of
rare super-QPOs in the Vanmunster's data on Aug. 20.
These QPOs are characterized by recurring
dip-like fadings (in the case of CY CrB, the period
was about 5 min) and they were only observed
during the developing phase of superhumps.
For past records of super-QPOs, see
PASJ 44, L215 (SW UMa) and PASJ 54, 87 (EF Peg).
