[vsnet-alert 8453] ASAS 1600-48 / further observations

Timeseries unfiltered photometry under reasonable conditions at CBA Pretoria showed ASAS 1600-48 steadily superhumping with a slightly fading trend over the period JD 2453533.37-2453533.61

The s/hump amplitude was around 0.2 magnitude and the period derived over 4 cycles was 0.066d +/- 0.001d. 
Observations will be continued.

This is another great find from the ASAS team, showing that surveys can be really successfull not just by plotting light curves of known variables but also by discovering new ones.
