Visual magnitude estimates by P. Schmeer, Bischmisheim,
Germany (203-mm SCT, ASAS-3 V-band sequence):
HS2219+1824 20050611.08 <127 Scp
HS2219+1824 20050613.051 116 Scp

Two superoutbursts were observed prior to the current one
(detection dates and magnitudes are given):
2003 July 10.056 UT, V= 12.2 (P. Rodriguez-Gil et al.)
Already recorded by ASAS-3 at V= 12.0 on July 9.322 UT
2004 June 26.084 UT, mv= 11.9 (P. Schmeer)
Already recorded by ASAS-3 at V= 11.8 on June 24.359 UT

>From the three known supermaxima a mean supercycle length
of 352 days can be derived.

Rodriguez-Gil et al. found an orbital period of about
86.2 min, a superhump period of about 89.05 min, and a
distance of about 180 to 230 pc (2004, A&A, 431, 269).

Time-series photometry of HS 2219+1824 throughout the
current (likely) superoutburst is strongly recommended.

J2000.0 coordinates: R.A. 22h21m44.79s Decl. +18o40'08.3"

Regards,
Patrick
