The ASAS-3 data apparently caught a recovery phase
(until JD 2452830) of this cataclysmic variable.
The minimum at least reached V=14.1. The object is
currently at around V=12.0.
The slow recovery suggests a VY Scl-type phenomenon
rather than a dwarf nova-type (e.g. Z Cam-type) variation.
This detection of a large-amplitude fading episode
seems to resolve the long-standing discrepancy. The
object was initially discovered as a Mira-type star, then
registered in NSV, but more recent data only showed small
variations, invalidating the historical classification.
The object was tentatively classified as a dwarf nova
based on past variability record. Everything looks
like to be explained by the VY Scl-type classification.
