CTCV J0549-4921 has further brightened to magnitude 13.0 (UT Apr 03.742),
the brightest I have ever seen it.

Clouds came in and no further observations are possible tonight at CBA
Pretoria.

Dear Colleagues,

I've just checked the ASAS-3. The previous eruption of
CTCV J0549-4921 was recorded in 2004 January (duration as long as 2weeks).

Quiescent studies were performed by Tappert et al.(MNRAS, 354, 321, 2004)
in which the period of the system was 0.080 days. Optical spectrum also
indicates the dwarf nova nature of the object.

CTCV J0549-4921 is a possible candidate for UGSU stars.
High speed photometry is encouraged.

timeseries photometry showed this suspect dwarf nova to be gradually
brightening from 13.85 to 13.7 CR over 4h, perhaps working up to the humping
stage.
