VSNET Weekly Campaign Summary

A rare outburst ----- T Leo

V402 And (RA = 00h11m07s.25, Dec = +33d32'36".1)
According to CVNet, an SU UMa-type dwarf nova, V402 And is now in
a superoutburst. The outburst was reported at 16.6C mag at Oct
25.889 by J. Shears (vsnet-campaign-dn 4563).
T Leo (RA = 11h38m26s.96, Dec = +03d22'08".1)
P. Schmeer reported his detection of a bright outburst of T Leo
at 10.0 mag on Oct 30. The magnitude suggests this to be a
superoutburst. In the 1993 superoutburst, Kato (1999, PASJ, 49,
583) reported that superhumps were observed already during the
precursor of the superoutburst (vsnet-campaign-dn 4564).
RX J0944.5+0357 (RA = 09h44m31s.8, Dec = +03d58'06")
S. Kiyota detected an outburst of this object at 13.50V on
Oct 31 (vsnet-campaign-ip 123), and then , H. Maehara promptly
confirmed the outburst (vsnet-campaign-dn 4565, 124, 125).

QY Per (RA = 03h15m36s.8, Dec = +42d28'15")
A. Imada reported a preliminary superhump period of 0.08 d,
using the data from A. Oksanen, K. Nakajima, and K. Tanabe
(vsnet-campaign-dn 4562).
V477 Sct (RA = 18h38m43s, Dec = -12d16'.3)
The gradual fading continues. K. Nakajima reported V=14.14
on Oct 31 (vsnet-campaign-nova 1773, 1774).
V476 Sct (RA = 18h32m04s.75, Dec = -06d43'34".3)
The nova is now fading. K. Nakajima reported V=14.51 on Oct 31
(vsnet-campaign-nova 1773, 1774).
