*** Last week news ***

(new targets)
  Nova LMC 2005 (RA = 05h10m33s.79, Dec = -69d12'35".2)

    W. Liller discovered a possible nova in LMC. The new object was
about 11.5 mag on his films taken on Nov 26. It seems to be present
also on films on Nov 22 (12.8: mag), and fainter than 13mag on
  Nov. 20 (vsnet-campaign-nova 1777). A. Amorim confirmed the object
  at 11.9mag on Nov. 27 (vsnet-alert 8764). According to IAUC 8635,
the object was confirmed to be a nova by spectroscopic observations
  at Cerro Tololo.

  MisV0814 (RA = 05h33m33s.81, Dec = +34d43'23".7)

Observations by K. Nakajima showed that a peculiar variable
MisV0814 is now fading. It was around 14.1-14.2 mag on Nov. 26 and
  27. S. Yoshida reported that, during the last fading event in 2004
March, the object apparently showed rapid variations; two or three
short brightenings of ~0.4 mag within several minutes
  (vsnet-alert 8765).

(old targets)
  TSS J022216.4+412260 (RA = 02h22m16s.4, Dec = +41d22'59".9)

    A. Imada and K. Kubota (Kyoto Univ.) reported the detection of
periodic modulations with a period of 0.057(2) days. If this is a
superhump period, it is one of the shortest periods among SU UMa
stars including WZ Sge stars (vsnet-alert 8756, 8758).
Using the combined data sets on Nov 23, 24, 25, and 26, they
reported the best period of 0.0553(8) d. On the other hand, another
period of 0.0538(1) d was found in earlier light curves on Nov. 20,
21, and 22. If the former period is the superhump period, this is
the shortest record among SU/WZ stars (except EI Psc and V485 Cen).
The origin of the latter period is unclear (vsnet-alert 8761, 8763).

  DV Dra (RA = 18h17m23s.10, Dec = +50d48'18".1)

On Nov. 22, T. Vanmunster performed time-series observations
of DV Dra, which detected the presence of early superhumps.
This observation revealed that DV Dra is a WZ Sge-class object,
  as suspected before (vsnet-campaign 1633, vsnet-campaign-dn 4574).
