[vsnet-chat 7308] Eta Carinae strange rapid fading

Dear all,
I had observed a rather rapid fading in eta Carinae a couple of weeks ago and now it is interesting to note that that fading event seems to be over with the star bright again:

I had not seen such a rapid (less than 25 days) and symmetric pattern before in eta's lightcurve. Maybe some gas/dust cloud passing in front of the star?? It doesn't look like a pulsating event.
