[vsnet-chat 7849] GCVS makes depressing reading

The home page of the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (http://www.sai.msu.su/gcvs/gcvs/index.htm)
and the files that it links to makes fairly depressing reading!

The most recent OEJV paper I can locate in the reference list is dated March 2010 - 3 years ago.
Curiously, there are a number of even earlier OEJV paper that have yet to appear in GCVS.

The situation with papers published by the AAVSO is even worse since there are papers from
as long ago as 2009 that are in Vizier but that GCVS has yet to process.

Isn't it about time that this long running problem was resolved?
