Dear colleagues,
I have just finished analysing my unfiltered CCD observations of Mis V1449 obtained on 2023, Jun 07/08 at CBA Belgium Observatory using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and QHY-268M CMOS camera under clear skies. My observations were triggered by Taichi Kato's post in vsnet-alert 27825.
The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of regular superhumps with an amplitude of 0.29 mag, establishing Mis V1449 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis, using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0) yields a combined (long) superhump period of 0.1261- +/- 0.0013d. The object was at mag CV = 15.1 on Jun 08th.
Follow-up observations are recommended to refine the superhump period.
I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Best regards
Tonny
